Wealth and Lifestyle Seminars – How to Choose the Right Seminar for You

There are many wealth and lifestyle seminars available throughout Australia and around the world and while some people are sceptical of them, many people have made significant changes to their life and financial position by participating in these seminars.

There are many different types of seminars available.  While a majority of seminars include expert speakers who talk about improving your financial position, many other topics can also be included in the seminar.  Wealth creation is often a key to many of these seminars because without money it is quite difficult to lead the lifestyle you desire.

While many people believe it is money they are after, it is actually the desire for choices in your life - choices in lifestyle, a choice on whether to go to work, or a choice on which school or university to send the children too, that drive our desire to improve our financial situations.

Research the Speakers
There are many different investment vehicles that can assist you to improve your financial position and each seminar will have a different list of speakers.  It is your responsibility to do some research before enrolling in the seminar.

The Wealth and Lifestyle Calendar of Events provides you with the opportunity to research some information on many of the key-note speakers.  You can also Google the speaker’s name to find out a bit more about them.

While most seminars revolve around one person as the key-note speaker, many include a variety of speakers with a variety of vehicles and ideas to improve your financial position.  Seminars with a variety of speakers often include speakers who assist with goal-setting and motivational stories as well as promoting investment products that will assist you top attain wealth.

Research the Products Promoted by Each Speaker
It is not often that you go to a seminar and a speaker does not have something to sell you.  Remember that you are under no obligation to buy from any of the speakers and in the 21st Century it is unlikely you will be pushed into buying something that you don’t really want.  In fact, many speakers offer very good guarantees for their products as a way of making you feel at ease with the purchase or returning the products within a time period if you are not satisfied.

Research the product area that each speaker will focus on.  While most seminars now include speakers who assist you to develop the right mindset, which is crucial to being a successful investor, most speakers will provide you with a lot of information and also try to sell you their products.  Share trading, options trading, CFD trading, property investment, internet marketing and business opportunities are the common investment vehicles promoted by many speakers.

Mindset
It is vital to have the right mindset when it comes investing and planning your future lifestyle choices.  Seminars that have speakers who people find motivational are often very popular.  In many respects, to be a successful property or shares trader or be successful in business, you must have the right mindset.  So when you are considering which seminars to attend, particularly if you have not attended any before, ensure there is a component of mindset in the seminar.

Seminar Cost
Most one or two day seminars have a lead up workshop that participants can attend for free.  By attending these workshops, you can get an idea of what the seminar is about and then make an educated decision on whether to attend.

One day, two day and longer seminars can range from $0 to $10,000.  This is where your research is important.  Often people decide to attend a seminar because of positive feedback from people they know and trust, or they see someone who has made significant positive changes to their life and find out the catalyst for the changes.

Many seminars now often a money back guarantee, which you can take up part way through the seminar if you are not happy with the speakers and services provided.  While it is rare that these are ever taken up, it is a good security blanket to have if you are still unsure whether you will get anything out of the seminar.

If you are after real quality from the speakers and overall seminar program, you will have to pay for it.

Favourite Seminars
While we have been to a number of seminars in the past four years, the one that has stood out for us at this stage is the 4 Day Education for Life Seminar put on by 21st Century Academy.  The seminar, led by Jamie McIntyre, a young self-made millionaire was held over 4 days and ran from 8:30am to midnight each day.  It was packed full of a variety of speakers over the 4 days.  No less than 18 speakers spoke on mindset, psychology, property, shares, options, CFD’s, internet marketing and normal businesses.  The seminar provided us with so many leads into different strategies and alternate workshops; it actually took some time to decide which strategies to follow.

There have been many other great speakers and associated products and strategies that we have been exposed to as a result of attending one seminar.  If you are interested in finding out more about the 21st Century Academy click here and download their free e-book and order their free DVD.  You have nothing to lose.

Wealth and Lifestyle Seminars – How to Maximise your Results When You Attend a Seminar

Now that you have decided which Wealth and Lifestyle Seminar to attend, there are a number of things that you must do prior to attending and while you are at the seminar.

Enrol in the Seminar
The first task is to enrol in the seminar.  For most seminars, enrolment is done quickly and easily over the internet.  If it is possible, take your partner or spouse with you, as it is much easier to move forward with your lifestyle and wealth creation plans if you are both working off the same page.

Once you enrol, you should receive a confirmation email along with any receipt.  The time it takes to receive these varies depending on the company.  Some will arrive immediately and some may take up to two weeks.

Plan Ahead for the Seminar
Most seminars are held over weekends so that those people who are working Monday to Friday can attend.  There are however many that run either side of a weekend as well including any day but normally a Friday, Monday or Tuesday.

Organise for time off from work a couple of weeks ahead to ensure there are no dramas in this respect.  Organise for someone to look after your child or children if you have any.  Many seminars run well overtime, so if you do have someone looking after your child or children ensure they are available to extend time if need be.

Book any flights or accommodation well before the seminar dates if you are flying interstate or overseas.  Also leave enough time to coordinate food when you arrive and ensure you have ground transport organised.

Plan What to Take to the Seminar
The main items you will need include a notebook, a few pens, some highlighters and a calculator.  Ensure you take a number of layers of clothes so that you can be comfortable whether the room is warm or cool.

Take plenty of snacks as some sessions can go for up to 3 or 4 hours.

It is important to wear comfortable clothes so that you feel good throughout the day.

Take some of your business cards with you to hand out to new friends, or if you would like some free ones, try Vista Print

Arrive Early
Nearly all seminars have a registration period prior to the first day’s speakers.  Arrive early to register, to avoid the crowds and make sure you are ready to go from the start.  You will also have the opportunity to take up a position near the entry to the seminar room to ensure you get a seat whereby you can see the speakers, any flipcharts and video screens.  There is nothing worse than sitting through a full day seminar not being able to see key items being discussed during a session.

Take Plenty of Notes
While many seminars will provide you with your own notebook, you have a backup with you anyway, so you can take plenty of notes.  Use different coloured pens to highlight important notes or use your highlighters to colour code notes of specific importance.

We suggest that you rule a line down the middle of your page as it is easier to take notes and much easier to read through them in later weeks.  Notes in columns are easier to read; hence the reason newspapers use columns for all their stories.

By taking notes, you are also reinforcing what you have heard and also providing yourself with the opportunity to read them over later.  Make sure you put plenty of content into your notes so that they make sense when you do read them later on.

Attend With an Open Mind
I am amazed at the number of persons who attend seminars and are talking negatively in regards to a speaker or strategy that is about to be presented – before they seminar has even started.  If you cannot attend with an open mind, save your own time and find something else to do.

Much of what you hear at seminars is only reinforcing what you already know.  Maintain an open mind throughout each day and look for hints that can help you to improve your lifestyle or financial position.

Plan to Stay Longer if Necessary
Often some of the best pieces of information are provided towards the end of each day.  Those people who have planned ahead and are organised enough to stay until the end each day will often pick up key knowledge that will help them in the future.

While it is often difficult to find baby sitters or child minders who have flexible hours, do your best to stay as the information you receive may be life changing.

At the Seminar
Seminars are a wonderful place to find like-minded individuals with similar goals to your own.  By networking with other attendees during all breaks and particularly at lunch time can be extremely fruitful.  Swap names and phone numbers, or email addresses or better still, give them one of your business cards.

You can take out of a seminar what you want.  You don’t have to use every bit of information gained but should focus on what is important for you at the stage of life you are at.

Prepare well for each seminar, get plenty of sleep in the days prior and go in with an open-mind.  Everything you need to live all your dreams is already within you, so go and continue to learn and then use the knowledge to make the necessary changes in your life.

Wealth and Lifestyle Seminars – Taking Action with All the Information You Have Gained

Attending a seminar is only the first step however if you do nothing with what you learn at the seminar, you have, in many ways, wasted your time.  To ensure that each seminar you attend, you get the most out of it, summarise at each break, the key items that you have learnt and highlight any actions that you are going to take.

Gaining the knowledge is only the first step.  Many of us have a lot more knowledge already, than we will ever use.  It is the action that you take with your knowledge that is very important.

Review Your Notes
Read back over your notes at least twice in the week following the seminar.  Too many people go to seminars, take notes, and then never read them or think about them again.  Summarise onto a piece of paper the key learning’s you have taken from the seminar.  Also summarise the key action steps that you identified and wrote down during the seminar and add anymore that come to you while re-reading the notes.

Decide on the Appropriate Action Steps
On a note pad write down 5 actions you would like to take from reviewing your notes.

For each action detail the steps you will need to take to achieve the final outcome.

Stay in Contact with Your New Friends
Remember all those new friends you met at the seminar, stay in contact with them especially in the first 4 weeks following the seminar as you can make some lifetime friends.

If you have been to a Wealth or Lifestyle Seminar and feel that future seminars by the group or speakers you heard would benefit others who are looking to improve these areas of their life, please let us know at admin@achievesuccess.com.au.
